It does not exactly convey the industry to an audience but rather a tool for those needed cost control tips which would be part of the industry but not showing the food and beverage industry as a whole. - Who does the blog intend to serve?
The blog is intended to serve restauranteurs and serve as a tool "to help food cost control wizards improve their craft". - Does it meet its goals?
It seems to meet its goals because there is a lot of comments of posts and Q&A posts/comments. - What image of the industry or individual is convey by the blog?
The image of the indivdual conveyed in the blog is that the guy (in the legit image on the page) knows everything about cost control, he should get an award or something, or have even taught the class. - Does the blogger have a presence on Twitter or Facebook?
From looking about the page it does not look as if the blogger uses twitter or facebook - How is it similar or different?

The topic the author claims to have knowledge of in the industry is clearly food cost control because that was the type of blog we had to look up; this blogger thinks he know's everything food cost control related because the title of the page says, "Food Cost Control: Developed to help food cost control wizards improve their craft". - What tools does this provide to assistant a restaueateur with controls for cost?
The tools provided to assist a restaueateur with controls for cost by providing numerous links to previous blog entries discussing many cost control topics.
